Frost Privacy Film Installation Process for Lasting Privacy

Proper window tint installation is crucial to its effectiveness and appearance. At Pro Films Window Tint, we follow a procedure to help install your frost privacy film correctly.

The following are the steps we take.

We start by putting a protective cover down to help protect your house from the soap and water mixture used in the installation process.
We then use a scraper or scrounge pad (whatever works best for the glass) to clean the window to prepare it for the frost privacy film.
We’ll remove the frost privacy film from the box and cut it closely to how it will fit the window. Next, we’ll peel the liner off the film and use our soap and water mixture to activate the adhesive by wetting it.
The frost privacy film is applied to the entire surface of the glass. Next, we squeegee up the soapy water we used.
When 90% of the water is removed from the film, and we have it securely in position, we’ll trim it for an accurate fit.
Finally, we dry the edges and wipe off the window.
The curing process for the film can take as many as 30 days to completely dry. While water blisters may appear periodically, they will go away over time.
